GDPR is our Cake

GDPR is our Cake

Bucharest, 28 August 2018

In 2016, the European Parliament and the Council have enacted the Regulation (EU) 216/679 on the protection of natural persons with regards to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, also known as GDPR. GDPR brings additional safety requirements and obligations for businesses that process personal data belonging to citizens in the EU and entered into effect on 25 May 2018.

Our cross border advisors teams are ready to help you identify how GDPR impacts your company by providing:

  • Revision of your current personal data processing;
  • Overall impact assessment on the protection of personal data;
  • Revision and adjustment of the company’s privacy policies, terms of service, website terms of use, contractual relationship with service providers and with other the persons involved in data processing;
  • Preparation of internal guidelines, procedures and manuals, approvals for data processing;
  • EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S Privacy Shield self-certification; and
  • Other services according to your specific needs and requirements.

Our regional ARCLIFFE LLP cross border practice has provided assistance to international clients acting in Central and Eastern Europe, but also in United States of America or Canada to implement GDPR. ARCLIFFE LLP advisory on GDPR issues is coordinated from Bucharest by Iulia Berea.
