We are able to provide a coordinated approach to cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, licensing and distribution arrangements and criminal investigations. Our clients include multinational corporations, investment banks and private equity players, as well as partnerships and strategic investors. We manage the process of obtaining competition clearance from start to finish. If necessary, we can formulate your defences and assist you during investigations or any other specific proceedings.

  • Mátrai Power Plant (a Hungarian subsidiary of RWE) on changes in competition law after the accession of Hungary to the EU.
  • BP, Alfa Finance Holdings, AI Petroleum Holdings and Arsan Holdings on a notification process in connection with the establishment of BP-TNK joint venture.
  • Vodafone, Vivendi and Canal+ on a notification process before the Economic Competition Office.
  • Two Major Energy Companies on the competition law aspects of the joint venture set up for the development of two new 800 MW combined cycle gas turbine power plants in Hungary and Slovakia.
  • Certain international clients in connection with vertical relationships and dawn raid matters, including assisting in connection with sector inquiries and several competition law compliance matters.
