History

ARCLIFFE LLP is a full service international firm, solely focused on Central and Eastern Europe or otherwise known as Emerging Europe.

Our diverse backgrounds, professional experience, qualifications and linguistic capabilities enhance our ability to handle international and local matters. We have an integrated, firm-wide management structure and common professional culture emphasizing dedication, excellence, integrity and responsiveness, all designed to ensure a uniformly high quality of legal work throughout all of our offices.

We offer our clients the know-how and experience of local lawyers in local jurisdictions with strong native language drafting capabilities and knowledge of local legislation and systems, all in the context of top Anglo-American jurisprudential standards.

All of ARCLIFFE LLP’s offices benefit from the presence of native English-speaking lawyers to ensure native-level drafting capabilities in English. Each office is able to draw upon the experience and knowledge of other offices, and closely collaborates with them on cross-border matters for multinational clients.

Local lawyers are buttressed by the firm’s senior cadre of Canadian, English and US qualified solicitors and attorneys.

The history of ARCLIFFE LLP has its roots starting with the fall of the Iron Curtain in Central and Eastern Europe when certain international law firms started conducting business in the then newly emerging market. Our partners are formerly senior personnel (including partnership level) from many of the major international law firms, including: Clifford Chance, Linklaters, CMS Cameron McKenna, Debevoise & Plimpton, Dentons, Kinstellar, Gide Loyrette, Bird & Bird, Wolf Theiss and White & Case.
