ARCLIFFE Boosts Legal Practice in CEE
ARCLIFFE Boosts Legal Practice in CEE
London, 23 June 2016
We are pleased to announce the creation of “ARCLIFFE LLP”, a new consolidated legal practice focused on Emerging Europe, comprising senior attorneys of international pedigree and training.
Four local leaders on the Central and Eastern European (CEE) legal market – Dobre from Cyprus and Romania, JebwabnyLegal from Poland, Krutak & Partners from Czech Republic, and DKKR Partners from Hungary – have come together to create a premiere legal practice across CEE.
ARCLIFFE has been set up by the first three law practices, with DKKR Partners cooperating on an exclusive basis.
The new firm covers CEE via eight offices located in Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Cyprus, Serbia, Bulgaria, Slovakia, and Hungary, as well as other countries in Emerging Europe through strategic partnerships. The purpose is to offer clients operating in CEE with a unified and cost effective legal practice.
“It is an opportunity for us to bring to expanded geography our practice strengths and that’s for the benefit of our clients” said Tomas Krutak from Prague.
Tomasz Jebwabny of Warsaw added that “Our combination is about the Emerging Europe role in a globalizing economy and the European Union.”.
ARCLIFFE is a natural development of local practices that are connected by the same understanding of legal standards and culture. “All our lawyers are well aware of Anglo-American legal service standards. Expanding regionally our local knowledge and expertise was the main driver for our combination. It happened under the auspices of the big family of international law firms that started to do business in Emerging Europe in the 1990s, a venture to which we have all participated in one way or the other.” said Edward Dobre, one of the pivotal lawyers involved in setting up ARCLIFFE, also based in Bucharest.
“ARCLIFFE will focus on Emerging Europe, now a matured and increasingly sophisticated market. We believe that ARCLIFFE will be able to meet the ever increasing demands being placed on law practices to provide a unified and cost effective platform throughout CEE”.
DKKR Partners will cover the Hungarian market for ARCLIFFE. “We are positioned to support and assist the fellow members of the new firm. Our clients and prospective clients are becoming increasingly interested in investing in the Emerging Europe economies.” said Daniel Kaszas, one of the leaders of DKKR Partners.
